Your time – yours possibilities in Liberec

22nd of November

As you can see in these pictures, project Your time - yours possibilities continued also in the Czech Republic, especially in Liberec.

This Monday we invited pupils from a primary school to V-klub and prepared a workshop for them. This workshop was on the topic of Christmas tradition and we wanted to show them, how to spend their free time in the time before Christmas. This youngsters really like shopping and they have no creativity and no ideas what to give as present to their parents or friends. And they have absolutely no idea, that there are a lot of nice traditions in this time before Christmas.

First part of this workshop was a short introduction of the whole project, of the exchange in Armenia and than a short powerpoint presentation with some traditions and a description of important days before the date of birth of Jesus. Pupils were really excited and surprised by the large number of traditions and ways people spent this time a long time ago.  They had a lot of questions and because we were well prepared, we were able to answer everything ;).

The second part of workshop was more practical, we bought colored papers, many kinds of spices, like cinnamon, star anise, bay leaf, different kinds of beans, dried orange etc and tried to create small boxes with these youngsters. As you can see in faces of boys in the picture above and in the next picture, they really enjoyed this possibility to create something on their own.

This workshop was really successful and the teacher was really happy and she asked us to do this workshop for other classes in her school. So we will have one class in November and one in December and we are really looking forward to it. And after this workshop we already feel Christmas is coming!

For the whole team, Zuza
